Hiya all, Just thought you might like to know that I finally found a local supplier of these elusive products.
They can be acquired at the attached Co.
Cost is a very reasonable $17.00 inc GST. They come with the normal cigarette lighter plug.
HTH. Enjoy. :D L.
ps. The owner has just recently joined the W.A.A.C.ers!!!

Laurie, can you please ask him if he knows where to get the battery operated ones. They used to exist.

1. Ken, if I may ask. What are you going to use a 'battery operated' hair dryer for? Because these are 'battery operated'. They just use a larger capacity battery!!
2. Paul, the average current consumption,(technical, ain't I?), for these types of appliances, varies from 5 to 8 AMPS. So no small battery's please!!! Well, not for long!
Regards, L. :D

Man that'll suck the insides out of your average jumpstarter pack :P I think I'll look at dewheaters for my finders and guidescope.

I used one at astrofest and they don't like cold weather and they use lots of battery power, the only way I made any heat at all was to cover the intake vents with my hand, they will demist eyepeices but not for long.astroron

Ken, You won't get any heat out of them for your E/Pcs. PTN. If you check out the name of the Co., you'll see it's marine supplies, not "TOYS'R'US". :P :P
Paul, That's why I mentioned, NO SMALL BATTERY'S. You can lengthen the fig 8 cable to reach your car, if it's close enough, like I did. If not, then you'll have to buy a BIGGER battery.
