:help:I received the DMK 21 Au04 AS FC todays mail and other than the invoice which is marked mono _I clearly ordered mono, there's no such wording on the unit to say it is Mono. Reading the tool bars there's a white balance adjustment I always thought this was for colour. Can some kind member reply and tell me if I have a mono or a colour imager?

Hi Dennis,
If you ordered a DMK, you should have a monochrome camera. Have a look on top of the camera and look at the barcode sticker. If it has DMK 21AU04.AS printed on it you have a monochrome camera. DBK and DFK are colour cameras.
When will be first light?

The white balance adjustment may be greyed out?
The mono (like the colour) has gamma, brightness, gain fps etc.

Thanks Matty P and Iceman
Having settled that question I hope IIS will forgive me asking further questions until I get the hang of it.
Just looking at the Tool Bars and checking with the camera on the desk - no scope - there appears to be numerous sections that are not mentioned in your planatery article. Mike. I assume not all sections are used, but leave that for now until I have given it its first light -day light, as you suggested.

Yes, not all sections are used.
I only touch the gain, and sometimes the gamma, and the framerate.
Always leave it at 640x480, and use Y800 as the codec.
