Yes, I know it is another reprocess but I thought I would post it. I was quite surprised with how well it came out for only 6 minutes worth of data. Seeing that I reprocessed my Eagle Nebula image, I thought I would reprocess this one as well.
Let me know what you think. :)
Thanks for looking.

I love Omega Centauri and that's an awesome rendition. I was hoping to get to image it this year but missed it before it got too low. That pic almost makes up for it!

Top Shot Matty, and of one of my favourite objects. Well done.

Thanks guys,
I'm very happy with how it turned out for only 6 minutes worth of data.

it is as you say quite impressive for 6 mins of data... I remember you posting the original, and I must say, your reprocess is a lot nicer.. seems you balanced the black point a lot better this time around..
A word on the borders on both this and your M16 re-process. I like the dark frame with the object name and the exposure details, but the 'glowing' bit around the actual image detracts from the professionalism of the shot. perhaps a thin white edge would make all the difference... I suppose its personal preference really..
Well done on the reprocess in any case.

Great shot. You must have the scope aligned well for this shot with no guiding. Most impressive.

Thanks Alex,
I do agree with you. The white border does distract the attention away from the image but I do like what it does to the image though. I like to think that it adds another dimension to it in some way. I have added it just for show and I could make it a bit darker when adding it to an image.
:)
Thanks Batema,
I don't know what I would do without guiding, now that I have it working. If I can remember the alignment that night was actually very good. I may have been able to get away with some longer subs?
