Yes, I enjoyed it, shared it around, went to his site, checked out the out-takes - but a bit off the topic I would have thought??

What a great video. :)
It is definitely not your usual APOD though.

Yeh it was interesting APOD for sure.. Very well produced and in general a great video. Not sure why it deserved an APOD though.
NASA have shares in Vimeo or something? Trying to take over youtube? :)

An APOD very much about EARTH !
If we could all spend more time Dancing, Singing and exploring the things that bring us together, the world would certainly be a better place !
I know one thing for sure I would love to have taken the holiday he did !

Nice vid but not what I like as an APOD.

That cheered up my morning - happiness really is contagious!
You also can't help but notice how similar people really are. Imagine trying to pick the location of each shot without looking at the caption. OK the opera house, the Eiffel Tower and some other landmarks do give the game away and the PNG blokes are pretty distinctive but that's about it. And they all dance equally badly!

Good movie, good idea. Not sure on it's merits as an APOD, like Iceman. But it's not bad. I've got no complains about his dancing style, a lot better than mine if I were ever actually dragged into such a situation!:eyepop:

:) Cool vid, enjoyed the music and vocals too....as a unexpected bonus it lead me reading up about Rabindranath Tagore (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabindranath_Tagore)

Alex's Inner Monologue says:
"I've taken better astro photos than that... Oh wait... thats not an astronomy picture of the day... its a dude dancing all over the world... seems a little off topic but what the hell the dance seems infectious..."

Seems off topic to me, but it's a nice video. He gets around!
Al.
Ahh yes, dancing Matt has been appearing everywhere!
He was interviewed on 'Sunrise' program (ch7) the other morning. He used to live in Australia(Brisbane) for a while and started this whole thing while heading thru WA, thats why there's no one else dancing with him on the dunes at Lancelin. I sent him a message that if he ever returns to WA, we can fix that :), dunno if he got it tho.
BTW, his travel expenses are paid by Cadburys

I showed it to Kate last night, she enjoyed it too. We went to his website and looked at some of the other vids and read his FAQ and About Matt etc.
Quite interesting.
Some of the vids do show how staged some of the clips are, but I guess that's expected.

Good on him !
If I could get a Large Multi National company to pay my travel expenses to go and dance all over the world I would do it too ;)
