hi
I take M8-M20 the 5 juillet with a canon 350d Baader + tamron 55-200mm f5.6 ,18 exp from 1mn 400 iso
If we combined the 3 colors ,the Red ,Green and Blue, and create a new panchromatique color (average of the 3 colors,we can see a lot of new colors in this nebula,
the original picture is on top of the mosaic
translation : couche rouge => red coat
couche verte => green coat
couche bleue => blue coat
couche pan => panchromatique coat

I'm not sure if I understand this. Are you producing a synthetic luminance with the RGB data? or are all images monochrome and you're using colour mapping to generate a pseudo RGB? Thanks for sharing.

OK. Thanks for clarifying. Nice tutorials too. Shame I don't use Iris. MaximDL is more my flavour. Anyway, if you or others are interested in Synthetic Luminance techniques, here is an excellent read - http://www.astro.uni-bonn.de/~mischa/ps/syntheticlum.html (http://www.astro.uni-bonn.de/%7Emischa/ps/syntheticlum.html)
