My attempt last night with 10mm lens.

Not very good but I'm puzled what the part-douhgnut shape smudge is.
It's a long exposure and there may be something funny going on with the sensor?

I'd say it's dust Jakob, you need to clean the sensor.
First try a Rocket Blower or if this doesn't help you may need a sensor brush.

You've captured a very nice scene, lovely rich colours, very nice indeed.

There seems to be a lot of jpg compression though.
Try saving it with a higher quality setting, as you've saved it to around 87k, you can go up to 200k, this will help a lot with the artifacts.

Nice one Jakob.

It does look like dust, but seems very large to me for something on the sensor. Maybe check the front and back surfaces of you lens as well.

Andrew & Al,
Thanks for advise.
I will do further tests and check other shots taken.
Lens looked clean in the dark!

Andrew,

Took some more shots that eliminated the lens as the culprit.

Inspecting the sensor showed a smudge on the filter !

Thanks for the advise ! :)

I don't know why, but I'm fascinated with the ISS. I saw the subject of this thread and got a little excited. LOL.

Very nice photo, jakob. The stuff in the foreground is great for perspective.

We have a few decent flyovers this coming weekend that I'm looking forward to.
