I have been doing other things so got out of practice at polar alignment weight balance etc... so whilst sorting things out tried a few wide field shots. Used 300d standard lens riding on 150sn atop of lxd55 mount. ISO 800 expoasure 500 seconds minimal processing and cropped off the right side to get rid of amp glow.
The funny thing is knowing what is there and where etc no means when I go outside I see it somewhat like this (I guess the old brain fills in the gaps) and it is like living on your own space station such is the impression of "being there"
Also no dark frames.. I didnt have time to track with the scope because "BIG Brother " was on... not really I was a bit slack thats all

Thank you Davo, I dont know but I love wide field  .. got a fair few the other night. They seemed to work without guiding so I just kept shooting leaving the camera unattended while doing housework.
I note your projects include a hartman mask.. I used a cornflake box for the cardboard and placed four holes not two.. seemed to work well and I would even photograph with it on (on the assumption I raised the F ratio) when doing the Moon.
Thanks for your encouragement

I bought an EPP recently and must say I dont like it when compared to prime focus.. in fact I dislike it so much I never use it anymore...so I guess I wont find out its limits .. but I wonder how others go with using them.
I have a large dob myself and I love it so easy to tour in space as opposed to getting an equatorial into poss.

exactly, my only hassle with the toucam web camera is the aprox 6mm focal length which is too much magnification, therefore i need to be able to use it with the lens and my eyepieces.
