Hi All,

I was cleaning out the cobwebs of all of my previous captures as I was running low on disk space and as the hard drive was busy deleting, I ran some of my previous files through the wringer again and I think I have processed my best Jupiter image to date with what I have captured on the 24th June.

I hope you like it, I think the focus is pretty close and it came out well.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers

Chris

Good going chris! this is a real step up from your previous images!

Now all you need is for it to be 2x the size and you'll start to see surface detail in the bands! :D

Congrats mate. :)

Thanks Jeanette, Trevor and the Jupiter freak! (AlexN)

Its a bit bright in the middle, but I think the overall detail is good and the focus is much better without too much processing done to it.

I am thinking of a 3x ED barlow to help size, this was taken through a 2.5x APO barlow which has a bit of colour fringing so I might spend the $50 and see what comes of it.

Thanks for the comments. I appreciate the praise :)

Chris

PS. Where are the rings Alex? I am getting withdrawals waiting for Jupiter shots from you. ;)

The sky gods obviously were not impressed by my new toy :D

Shouldnt be long mate! :D (im having major withdrawals too! :D_
