Yes it has, they're coming around again. As I understand it it will be a 20:15 AUS Time approx landing. If they are not waved off again.

For some reason they're avoiding talking about the Edwards option. Seems like they really can't be bothered flying the shuttle across the country after landing, even though weather is good at Edwards.

Yes I agree, perhaps that is because it'll cost them 5 million $... maybe stretching the budget a tad. Or New Mexico at a lil less.

Looks like they're going ahead, if not Florida it will be Edwards. about 10:15pm tonight

7:04 pm NASA has just said that the shuttle is landing at Edwards AFB. Get your news here first! :)

Reason is that new storm cells have popped up around KSC and the situation is just too unpredictable.

It has just been changed to 7:43pm EST.

xrekcor
09-08-2005, 07:18 PM
Still 3 hrs away that would make it 10:15 approx EST. Anyone know the time difference between Edwards and EST?

I am of the belief we're 13hrs ahead of Florida, not sure about Edwards

Rob,

It was just on TV that it will land at 7:43pm Melbourne time.

Unless they change it again . . . and again . . . and again

MiG
09-08-2005, 07:34 PM
TV is wrong. xreckor and I are right :p

The "7:04 pm" in my post is the time that I posted that info.

Considering that the shuttle hasn't even fired the OMS engines yet, I'd say the 7:34 pm landing time is incorrect, because that was 2 minutes ago.

NASA TV said at around 7:15pm it was three hours away, so who knows  oh well better grab another :drink: it might be a long night :help3: I might need more beer... you know to fuel my puter chair of course :D

Excellent landing, shame it was night-time and couldn't see much of it.

Hopefully it won't take more than a few months to fix the problems with the fueltank to launch again.
