Hi All,

Due to my job nature, I can only have long vacation in July or August.

In the past 8 years, I spent my vacation in Australia, but this year I can't because of tickets too expensive. We had made booking for special package 4 months before but no response from agents.

Luckily we could find quite reasonably priced tickets to Auckland finally so that we can continue our trip down under.

I will arrive at Auckland airport at noon on July 12th, and spend the first half of vacation in the north island for sightseeing. Then focus on AP with the last half of vacation in north island, maybe in Gisborne. I have no idea or decision now yet because I don't know which place will be more better for AP in this season. Could you give me any suggestion?

On August 2nd, I will take the flight back to HK. So, this time I can have about 3 weeks in Zealand.

I know there are some New Zealanders being the member of this forum. To me, I find it is a great joy with my vacation to meet some fellow astronomy lovers and make interflow with them in this area. So, if you could welcome for my visit, I would be most grateful, and please PM me or drop me a email at william_lt_ng@yahoo.com.hk.

Thanks in advance.

Clear skies,

William

Hi William. You might want to try to track down John Drummond. I'm fairly sure he lives in Gisborne.

Have fun.

Paul,

I am sorry this year Barbara and I can't visit you and your family again. If regardless the ticket price, I would prefer doing my AP in Australia, and Brisbane is the place Barbara loves very much.

Same shame to Bird too. I am always seeking the possibility to do AP at the frontyard of Bird's house again for a week. I had captioned one of my best milkyway film image at Bird's living place, and thanks to him again for his hospitality last year.

Best regards,

LT
