Today I celebrate one year of being cancer free.:clap::clap:
12 months ago I underwent rather drastic surgery for colorectal cancer. I'm alive today because I was fortunate enough to be diagnosed early.
I'm posting this thread because I want to highlight the need for YOU to see your doctor as soon as you have a change from your normal routine "down there".
Check out http://www.cancerresearch.org.au/faq.html for information about possible symptoms.
Don't put it off, don't self diagnose, just see your Doctor and get it checked out.
Believe me, you won't "Die from Embarrassment".
But you will be awfully sorry if you leave it too late.

Congratulations, JJJ, long may it continue. I took your advice a few months ago and got the old prostate checked out - fortunately nothing wrong. :)So, yes, folks out there, take JJJ's advice:D

Hi Jeanette, that certainly is a milestone, I'm glad that you have come through this and are now well. All the best for the future. You are a great ambassador, if it helps just one person it's worth it.
Thank you
Lydia

They sure can. I've had it done and thankfully I'm ok. Better to know nothing is wrong that not to know something is.
Congrats JJJ and here's to many more.

A year already Jeanette?? Wow, of course I'm sure the year doesn't seem to have passed as quickly for you as for us perhaps, but I am so very glad to hear that it IS a year now, and counting onwards with continuing good news day by day.
You're a brave and strong lass, as anyone who has ever met you knows, and I'm sure your future here amongst us cretins will be long and healthy.
3 cheers for Jeanette .....
