Never a dull moment here.
Cheers

but i have found that when there is a little dull moment in here the skies are clear hahahahhaha ;)
:face:
Wait until the IIS star party is on, it gets very quiet around here for that weekend.
:eyepop: when is that on i might just have to gate crash it if nobody is gonna be on here :P
Check the left sidebar under IIS Astrocamp it open to everyone.
No need to gate crash and it's a great time. Unfortunately I've yet to get to one, maybe this year though.
Cheers
:thumbsup: thanks Ric im gonna go check it out :D

Its always fun to try and decipher the text within all the emoticons.
Thanks for being Jen, not the same without you here.
Glad to hear you got collimated properly, now if we could all just get together and teach Jen V E R Y S L O W L Y what the purpose of an EQ mount is, then she might stop "picking it up and turning it around" to point the scope in the direction of the object she wants to see
Agreed??

If you cannot make it to IISAC - or want to attend two camps this year - come to Snake Valley Camp, 28 Nov-2 Dec!

I have to agree with you Jen, they are the nicest people I've come across.
Of all the forums I belong to, this is by far the friendliest.

I second that JJJnettie, a lot of other forums have an overwhelmingly condescending feel where the people who've been there a while feel its their personal duty to belittle every new comer until they lose interest and stop visiting....
IIS in the 3 months I've been a member has quickly become my most viewed web site, theres always something to learn, laugh about or look at, and anytime you have a question, you can ask away without thinking "Everyones going to think im a moron..."
Great place!

She came out one night only, was bitten by some little bugs around the ankles - didn't heal properly for months. For some reason, she has no interest? :(
 oh no thats not good give her a box of aeroguard for her birthday and tell her to try again :lol::lol:
That happened to me the first nite i was out with the scope i was eaten alive by mozzies :mad2::mad2::doh:
(jen really hates bugs)
erick

Hint - get rollon aeroguard, not spray. Spraying near yours or someone else's optics may cause damaged optics and tremendous aggravation! :scared:
 ok jen put that note in her little book of tips and tricks :D

omg isnt it crappy :mad2: Typical though, I've had 2 decent nights since getting my EQ6, and one of those, the neighbours who live up the hill from me decided to throw on a bunch of flood lights and have a party.... Its like a mini-las-vegas, they have over 100 square metres of out door deck area, and every single square mm is lit by like beautiful 250w hallogen POLLUTION!!
Grumble grumble....
Time to make a slingshot I rekon..
:scared::scared::scared: oh no Alex all those lights would drive me mad i just have one to deal with and i have bought a can of red spray paint so im going to sneak over and make it all pretty hahahaha hey i will help ya make the sling shot haha

Forums are about caring and sharing, for people, by people with a common interest, it's like when you post an image any comment whether sincere or not is a welcome comment.
We take the time to share knowledge and the joy we experience learning and seeing new things in the universe that we all try spend a considerable time viewing, along the way we may make a friend or two, share new discoveries, exchange a laugh, or learn that we have more in common than just the joy of astronomy.
Isn't that what families are about
:family2:
:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thum bsup::thumbsup:
Yep what Trevor just said :)
