Just watched the full keynote from the Apple WWDC introducing the new iPhone 3G. This is going to take the world by storm IMO. Apart from having a few nice new features it also includes a GPS. Would seem like the ideal platform to port some of the Astronomy apps. Apparently it is fairly easy to do too - so before long we might have Stellarium, etc available for it. Should be good!
As mentioned in the keynote quite a few times "its gonna blow the competition away". Well maybe not, but for once the hype does seem to have substance. Apple are really leading the way in quite a few areas these days. Wish M$ would take a sandwich from their picnic basket.
I'm actually glad they never released the previous model here, as I might have bought one, and the new model will be much better.
The keynote (link on Apple website) is well worth a watch if you have the time - but it is long.
