Chenell 9 afternoon program(4:30- I think), hotsource wants me to go to do a segment on astronomy- I am verrrrrrrry scared.
They want me to bring my 'scope and some facts and say how I got interested and advise for any young people wanting to get involved.
I don't know what to say!
I go to the studio tommorow.
It's funny cause they asked me to bring my 'scope, I don't think they relise how big it is: I think they are thinking of those department "scopes".
I get to be on T.V though: :scared2:

That's cool!!!!
Make sure you get a copy of it.
I've only got a copy of my farewell in three shows on Telly when I left channel 9. Nothing from all the other shows I was in. Saw myself briefly on the Bert Newton special last week though.
Scary, Yep. Even doing it regularly is still scary. Just ask the pros!

Mick,
If it helps you feel any better, I used to be on Telly a lot, and had to sit in for Brian Naylor daily for camera and lighting tests, and occasionally be a character for 'the Sullivans' and yet when I had to do a short Interview about our Footy Club a month ago on our little regional TV station I shook like a leaf.
Don't know if that helps but good luck.
Remember, the interviewer is always nervous too!

Argh it was a disaster!
The presenters butchered the planet segment something terrible!
Saying IO was jupiter and that venus had a surface of sulfuric acid, and uranus was the largest planet...
I had no preporation for the segment and I had a cold plus a sore throught so I sounded off...
I went on abit too long with the questions and held my arms weirdly- argh!!!
I missed all your advise too- I didn't get a chance to check, I wish I did cause it is read good!
As a side note: It's my Birthday I'm 15
I had no chance for plugs either...
