Hi again,
just added some colour to my previous
Lum image of Corona Australis.
Have left it a bit lighter to bring out the
fainter wisps.
Not happy with my spacing on the corrector
and will take off
another mil to try and get the stars to the
L & R of the chip better.
I'm about 57mm away and been meaning to take a bit more off the thing.
Could have used a mile more colour data but 'aint that always the case!
Overal happy enough with the detail the lum
picked up.
Love this reflection neb.
Here's a link to my front page..

Thanks for checking it out.
And hope you're all able to get out this night.
All the best for now

Very nice Rich, the subtle details and colour look really nice. Stars look good to me? or have you cropped it?
Man you need a bigger chip for that beautiful astrograph! Have you considered a DSLR even, they are pretty cheap?

Very nice Rich, diffraction spikes are a bit many and severe, but a very smooth image.

Lovely closeup Rich!
Love that little wispy bit near the variable neb, never really noticed it before in other images!
Beauty Mate!

Hey Mike,
thanks there for the comments!
Yes is cropped a bit due to me having a slight rotation with the rgbs from when I took the lum.
Have taken a mil off the spacer a month or so ago and things to the longer edge were better. Just 1 more mil and I reckon I'll be there.
Will look into the H16 later in the year.
Yes I have a 300D that I used a couple of times but always went back to my HX916 with a sigh of contented relief.:)
I still sort of like the narrower fov with this ccd, although the pressure would be off with a larger fov.
Guess I should do some pec training on this mount, never have but would make life a bit easier.
Thanks Gregg!
Thanks Fred.
That double star is probably what you are referring to, and conditions can make the refraction spikes appear a little thick at times.
But hey, it is a Newt.
Some love the spikes, some hate em.
Me, I love em!:D
You gotta stop replying to emails half cut Rob... says your drinking com padre :D:lol::thumbsup:
Thanks a lot Gaz,
yeah, some interesting little details and wisps that came out pretty well.
Thanks team
All the best

Thats GOLD!
Looks stunning, Well done.
Another great image Rich. You're on a roll. As a blue reflection neb aficionado, you can now cross this one off the list. Well done.

Thanks Alex,
I see you are a reflection lover too!
Thanks Jase!!
It was good to get this done with this scope to see what it could bring out.
Previously I used the ED80/ Hx916 combo and before that a VC200L/ Hx516 combo. (the latter was pretty ordinary, looking down a drain pipe)
Yes, just love the blue:thumbsup:
Thanks guys
All the best
