11.3 hours, That would have to be some kind of record for imaging, surely.

How many outer rings are there, It will be good to see what is being captured in 10 years from now.

Dietz, you have excelled again. Excellent.

Yeah thats a nice image dietz, the outer parts of the nebula remind me of a rose.
The HA really helps this image.
Jolly good show!

Excellent Dietz, I don't think I've ever seen that much detail in the Ring nebula. The galaxy adds that special touch to the whole image.

A wonderful overall image.

Hey Diets,
already commented on the SX group but while I'm hear...

This is one of the best I've seen on this object.
I do remember Jon Talbot from the SX group doing heaps of hours in Ha with lrgb to bring out the outer shell to this extent.
But he didn't have a massive apo refractor. The res to the core, as well as the delicate structure of the outer shell wasn't as defined as yours.

All the best again
Rich

Stunning image Deitz. The detail is amazing. So much to take in with this image. The stunning nebula itself the outer shell regions and the added background galaxies makes it very special image.

Just googled M57 images, and very very few reveal the "shockwave" detail you have captured here Dietz.
A truly amazing effort - thanks for posting.
Jeez mate, that is so good - I keep returning to your large version!
And those galaxies too!!!
I like!:D

...thanx again everyone for the nice words!

Mike, the H16 is a wonderful item! though it holds a kodak chip...:)
I am a bit spoiled by the sony chips I worked with prior to the purchase of this CCD. (M25C and H9C)

if you fond time - take a look onto a review I wrote:
