OK ... this one has been floating around for a while.
A website that is linked from heavens-above & universe today sites, claims that the sun has a "calcium Ferrite solid surface" that conducts electricity.

Any thoughts on this ? ... seems a bit dodgy to me :confuse3:

I agree Ian , dodgy at the least.

As long as they dont tell us they've found life on the Sun.

hehe solarians :) my fav trivia of the many the sun has, is that it contains a fair amount of water amongst its makeup composition (as compressed steam i presume?) now that would be the definition of torture if you were a water molecule! :) thats up there with the colossul clouds of vinegar and other weird things in the universe
