End of Year Sales

Looks like quite a few of the big optical stores are having their yearly clear outs....witness York Optical on the right of your screen.

It'll be good to see what new stock and lines they all bring out in the new financial year. I was checking out Takahashi America's site yesterday afternoon and came across their big 10" refractor there for sale (hey Marcus, how would you like to get a hold of one of those:)). Pity they don't seem to stock them out here, but I suppose at $250K a pop, there wouldn't be too many of us that could afford one!!!.

Now, if only we could wrangle some good luck in the Lotto...!!!:D:D

Yes I noticed this, however I am not too sure how much of a "sale" it is.

I rang to see how much of a discount I could get on a 12" dob listed for $899 and was given a $800 price. Nowhere near 50% and I couldnt see any others offered at low prices either.

Hmm, it is a waiting game I suspect.

You'll probably only get 50% off from articles such as the usual cheap and nasties, like dew zappers, cheaper eyepieces, tube rings etc. Maybe even possibly one of their cheap scopes. 12 " dob.....forget it!!!:eyepop:

Although, it would be nice if there was truth in advertising and they did offer a nice scope like that for half price:D
