Eta Car- Vela Region 2nd Try DSO

Image combined in Deepsky stacker 3 RAW images 90 , 130, 150 second no flats or darks then processed in Photoshop. Camera Pentax K100d DSLR 50mm lens at F8. More shots would have been taken however for some reason the batteries kept coming up depleted. The diffuse red bit at top left corner probably the nebula wasn't focused on this region. Camera set at infinity.

Image isn't that good did try sp,e image enhancements through Photoshop but as new too DSO imaging it was only guesswork

Trevor good effort, maybe a few longer exposures, and a few more of them, and also if i may say your lens is a bit slow at F11.

At F11 you will need very long exposures, can you bring it back a few F stops, i'm sure you will get much more detail in your images,

Keep at it though, and it will all come together.
