Hi guys,

A long time since I've been here and I hope you're all having a productive winter observing the Magellanic Clouds, Eta Carina, 47 Tuc, Crux, Omega Centauri and lots of great sky objects that I can't see from where I live!

Here, at almost 55 deg N, it's mid-summer and it doesn't get properly dark from mid-May until the end of July. During that time we can see Noctilucent Clouds - fine dust clouds some 90km above the pole which are illuminated by the Sun from the daytime side of the Earth.

Thursday night/Friday morning we had a particularly good display which I'll share with you here....

Great pics Paul, I especially enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd ones.
The colour combinations are breathtaking.
