Nothing doing with moon and rain the way it is, so I've reworked some old data from 2006 (and am so happy that I kept it).

I used to ramp up the curves and raise the black point something shocking. Too embarassed to link to the old pic.

I'm more pleased with how this looks.

23 x 3mins Canon 350D (unmod) ISO1600 autoguided LXD-75 ED80 piggyback on SN-8 (used as the guidescope).

Looks great Bill. The colour looks spot on and lots of detail.

Could you please post the original, I would like to see the difference.

Very well done.

Oh, Matty. Don't make me link to the old one...:ashamed:

Jase, cool, huh? Fishing line.

Um, Rob, I forgot.:ashamed: It was back in 2006. The webpage that I updated at the time says ED80 but the processed image filenames mistakenly say SN-8 (Doh!). I have to say it was the ED80 and not the SN-8 like I originally posted below (now updated), because I've just carefully measured the field of view and it comes in at a bit over 2 degrees - so it must have been the ED80, (maybe).

The SN-8 was guiding and the ED80 was imaging (without the 0.8x WO flattener).

Very nice indeed Bill, the colours are very natural looking and a lot of good detail as well.

A fine rework, I think you brought out the best in your data.

Cheers
