The June 2008 Edition of Astronomy Technology Today features Jimi
Lowrie's new 48" Dob in Limpia Crossing, Texas. The Argo Navis unit
can be seen mounted on the side altitude bearing.
See http://www.astronomytechnologytoday.com/

Jimi named his scope Barbarella (http://www.life.com/Life/covers/1968/cv032968.html).

Inside the magazine there is an article on the construction and delivery
of this massive scope.

For readers outside of the United States, Astronomy and Technology Today
can be subscribed to in the online edition in PDF format.

Have been in love with Barbarella since about 14. I also love my Argo Navis.

How cool is that?!?!

Incredible scope to go with the incredible Argo Navis! The helpful tool every telescope needs...

Hmm, thought my 12" was big:doh: That truly is a beautiful instrument!
Must admit though, given the thread title I was expecting something else. Don't get me wrong; I'm still impressed, just not...um, titillated:whistle:
