swisho observatory what that set you back, how long to deliver, is there enough room inside, does it cool down quickly after a warm day....... it looks great.

Thanks for your comments. The observatory is the best astronomy item I've ever got. As they say the best telescope is the one you use. The whole thing is automated except the shutter. when I want to do some astronomy I go out and open the shutter, take the caps off the telescopes. Turn the power on and go back inside. From My Observatory control room (spare bedroom) i can aline and focus the telescope and away I go. They do cost though, $3.5k for base model, I think I've spent about $8K on mine. As for waiting I only waited only 3-4 weeks. the 2.3 size is fine for me but if your going to do visual as well and have people over then the next size up would be better.:thumbsup:

Nice composition Kenny. Plenty of detail. Data looks black clipped, but haven't confirmed this. Overall well done.

Excellent image Ken.

The colours are lovely and the framing is nice and tight.

As Jase has indicated the sky does look unnaturally black so if you could up the background brightness a tad I think it would make a great image even better :thumbsup:

Very nice image BTW!! Nice wide fov.
Looks like the Williams is doing a nice job.
Congrats on the automated observatory as well. You've certainly stepped up the pace!
Just remember to wash down the red dust once and a while;)

What camera are you using BTW??

I don't know if you remember me but I bought my very first Starlight Xpress camera off you going back around 6 years back. It was the Hx516. It's still with me doing guide duty and hasn't missed a beat since:thumbsup:.

Nice to hear from you again, I lost your contact details, I tried to say hi through your towns mate Rob a few months ago, I had been meaning to drop you a line. I had a break for a while to due to lots of reasons, and I back with gusto. I used a Sbig 11000 that I purchased 2nd hand. It's a great camera and I learning a lot. Got some narrow band filters with the camera but have not tried them yet, still working on the basics of LRGB. The williams is a great telescope IMHO, and it's nice to be able to do astronomy without getting cold. we shouldhave a beer some time, keep in tough. By the way like to Website, Rob sent me a link when I talked to him.:thumbsup:
