Have my Astrophysics exam on today...open book exam, fortunately, considering all the equations I have to use!!!.:eyepop:

Best of luck with the exam today. it sounds pretty full on being for Astrophysics.
Just use positive thinking and say to yourself "I WILL DO WELL"

open book, I recall our Dean's ideal exam was one that you could bring an entire library and still not pass. Unless of course you understand the concepts. Suffice to say we the students dreaded the open book exams. Best of luck though, i hope you do well.

I can relate to that. The only open book I can remember doing was a stats exam. I had studied hard, had my notes organised, the relevant pages of the text book tagged and of course the decision tree on top of everything. Despite that I had to work like the clappers for three hours and only finished with minutes to spare. Most students didn't complete the exam.
Renormalised - I have faith in you. You obviously have the motivation and work ethic to do well. Will you post your result when it's out??

I remember doing a similar exam for my masters. 24hrs to submit it.

And funny that I had the same experience in my stats exam. It was a 2in1 exam. Numerical methods and Statistics. This one was ok because it was set by the Math department who appreciate that you need the books for Formulae etc. But the Engineering exams are a different tale. I much preferred the Maths and Physics exams.
