Hey....

Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinally figured out what was wrong with k3ccdtools and my pc (turns out nothing was wrong, I was just an idiot....)

Anywho... I am rather pleased with the results... The image shows a bit of grain due to the fact that i overdid the wavelets. I did this to bring out some of the detail in the very top of the image... (hence why im pleased with the results...)

More detail than my previous attempts.. Conditions were fairly nice, baring the fair wind that shook the dob every time i clicked record...

Hi Alex

That is a very good result for a night of poor seeing in Brisbane. I was outside until around 11:00pm, just doing some visual stuff and Jupiter was bouncing around like a yo-yo, although every now and then, for a fleeting moment, the finer belts above and below the persistent North and South Equatorial Belts popped into view. I think these might be the North and South Tropical Belts?

It was so deliciously relaxing; going to bed with no data to process, catalogue, manage and store. I slept the sleep of the righteous!

Cheers

Dennis

Glad to hear you've got the k3ccdtools going.

Have fun,

Thanks guys...

Robert - Im an afternoon shift worker.. wake up at 11, work 2 - 10:30... image till 3 -4 :D makes the hobby real easy!

Mike - Thanks, I agree I think the colors show through much better using K3ccdtools. However, I still cant change any of the camera settings in it... only frame rate.. Still working it out.

Dennis - I almost considered not imaging tonight, however I figured, theres no knowing how long this clear weather will last.... better to use it as best I can...

Doug - Thanks mate. I'm working hard at it!
