hello everyone
here's one of the first light images I did with the Hutech modified Canon 450D DSLR, a few weeks back.
75-minute exposure (15 x 5-min.) on Megrez 110mm refractor.
Processed with IRIS and photoshop
The final image is a 72 Megabyte file, but there is a smaller reproduction in JPG format here http://www.skylab.com.au/pmsa/LagoonNebula_080530.html
:) regards to all

Ah yes, that's more like the colour balance we have all been brainwashed into thinking is correct :D
Now I don't want to be too picky buuuuut... I see a single star down in the bottom left corner that appears to be the shape of a do-do-decahedron with triangular extensions :P
Nice

Very nice image Paul.
A significant improvement from the last post Paul. I like the details and colour balance. The little blue reflection neb shines. Well done.

Yes, beaut colour balance mate.
Regarding the star in bottom left, is that the core of the clobular cluster there?. I do see a slightly oval star about 1/2 way to bottom left but it looks like it is a bright and a less bright star close together, making it look oval. The background is great too, the levels spot on as I can see subtle variations in brightness due to very faint nebulosity. The little reflection nebula over the 2 stars top left is excellent too

What a great shot Paul, fantastic detail with those dark globules:thumbsup:
Do you know what that smeary blue star is at right edge of nebula here? I noticed it on the shot I took last night too, but it comes out a lot more clearly here:D
