Hi all,

Mike has advised that people reckon the toucam setup without the lens in prime focus is equivalent to a 6mm eyepiece. My super duper should be thrown in the pooper scooper 6.5mm series 500 eyepiece compares favourabley to the toucam videos for say the size of jupiter.

I am looking for a d.s.o that i can capture in a video. At the moment, i am getting too close (so to speak ). I suspect NGC4945 may be of a size that may be ok that a 6mm ep toucam can capture some width.

I will keep hunting

The lagoon nebula would be ok perhaps....getting a bit low in the sky though now..

47 Tuc or Omega Cent would be the best as they're both easy to find and high in the sky from Lonny. 47Tuc, if you haven't found it yet, is close to the Small Magelleniic Cloud.
