Hi all,

I came across this albino scrub turkey near the mouth of the Noosa River on Sunday morning. I've seen hundreds of scrub turkeys before, but this is the first albino I've seen. I wonder if it will get skin cancer at a young age?

I've also attached a shot of a raindow over the river.

Cheers,
Stephen

not if you buy it a cute little wide brimmed hat for its little bald head..and maybe a pair of sunnies

great pics!

How about some fluro green zinc ;)

I'm surprised to see it that mature. Albino birds and mammals in the wild generally get taken by raptors at a fairly early age. Either that or cats or foxes get them. At that size now it should be able to survive.

Thanks Stephen,

Brush turkeys are regular visitors to our garden and so to see an albino one
in your photographs is a real eye opener! Thanks for the pictures.
