I am looking for some detailed star charts containing most messier objects and NGC. I have found one site on the net, but the charts are for the northen hemisphere. If anyone knows where I could download some I would appreciate it.

Cheers - Craig.

All of these are listed somewhere within the sticky threads at the top of the "Beginners Start Here" forum area, all are downloadable, and all are FREE!!
Pick the level of detail you want:
(These are pretty much ALL best printed out at A3 size, don't try to skimp and print them at A4)

Mag 7 - B&W and Colour versions:

Taki's star charts - 2 versions, Mag 6.5 and mag 8.5:

Finally, a 3 part atlas - mag 9, 11 and 13 star charts!

I use a product called GUIDE V8. I like it immensely.

I still have a couple older versions that contain most the features of V8 only the interface is not as flash , I might be persuated to part company with them , maybe.

PM me if you are interested.

The Triatlas sets are fantastic, they are literally 3 different chart sets with varying levels of detail in each.

Be warned though that while the A (mag 9) set comprises only 25 charts, the B (mag 11) set comprises 90 charts, and there's a whopping 661 charts for the C set (mag 13)!
