Not quite enough stress relief there:P
Actually, I've been feeling like I should apologise for bring this weather to us.
I bought my telescope last Saturday, went out and saw Jupiter Saturday night, and it's been raining ever since.
Was it me that jinxed all of us:sadeyes: - if so, I am very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very sorry.
Hopefully the rain will pass soon, but as a motorbike rider (commuting mostly), and avid weather website watcher, I fear the rain is here to stay for a while longer yet.:eyepop:
Alex

I am now well adjusted for the rest of the afternoon.

Looks like my previous post might have done the trick
I have just got home and the clouds appear to be clearing and the sky is blue - didn't even put my wet-weather gear on for the ride home.
Keeping my fingers crossed now tho that it continues to clear for the weekend.

Had everything setup for the first test run of the 400D and just about to start with alignment and it has gone from perfectly clear to dense cloud in about 40 minutes.

Cloud came over late yesterday afternoon - rain started in the early hours of the morning. It's a nice gentle soaking rain and is the first we've had for quite a while. Out here, any rain is pretty good rain, as we can always use it, so we tend not to complain. It is frustrating though when you've got a 5 day old 12 " dob to play with.
I've had 4 nights decent viewing out of it (and 4 nights without tea) and this being the long weekend, I was hoping to do an all nighter. Chances look a bit slim at the moment though.
Spending my time indoors in front of the heater reading "Universe - The Cosmos Explained" by Colin Ronan.
Jeez! We don't get rain for ages and then we get it on the first long weekend after I get my new scope.
Curse you, Antient and Eldritch Weather Gods Against the Buyers of New Optics!!:rain:
In Melbourne, any rain and cloud WARRANT'S COMPLAINT, and RIGHTLY SO, considering our HOW CLOUDY our climate is
