I've often wondered when I look at astro' photos and you see all those stars spread across the piccie, just how many of them are actually homes to civilisations, and what state of development they're at. It'd be really interesting to know how many there are in each individual photo:)

Well I'm fairly certain there is no civilisation associated with the blue star (SN2007SR) in the right hand arm of NGC4038/39.:)

Ah, yes I have... pretty much all of his works. As well as "doc" Smith's, Asimov's, Silverberg's, Harrison's, Pratchett's etc etc. You name any of the top SF guys and I've either read their books and/or owned them.
Doesn't stop me from enquiring:)
