Less than 60 mm here in five months, is this a competition?? ;)
No worries. I'll express post it and give you 50 bucks as long as you promise to keep it to yourself for the next 6 months :D

Considering you aren't very far away you could have shared some of that! We got nothing yesterday and a measly 3 mm the day before.

The Broken Hill contingent of observers will be in Mildura this November for the Oasis Stargazers Bi annual star party ,hope it dont cloud out on that night.....cheers Kev.
For crying out loud its been cloudy every day here in south oz for the last 2 freaking months!
What we need is weeks of clear skies.

just looked at the national loop for the weather http://www.bom.gov.au/products/national_radar_sat.loop.shtml
there is a remote possibility of a clear sky in melbourne tonight. Clear patch pushing up from Tas and a large cloud mass coming from the West .... but stuck in between looks clear... :eyepop:

I spotted stars through my kitchen window this morning at about 2am and dashed out with my binos only to find the clouds had closed up .... It's nice to have a dark backyard for a change.
lol clear sky in Melbourne??? Keep dreamin dude
It was clear last night for a limited period. I was busy watching Gordon Ramsey so it wasn't until 10:30pm when I decided to setup, but before I did I looked out the window to the south.
Good move. Saved me a huge deal of effort and rage.

Good steady rain here tonight, so I'm not complaining. It's the cloud without rain that is annoying....
rain in Mildura? Christ, what next? :eek:I always thought that Mildura's only annual rainfall came from intense summer thunderstorms.
The next clear night (without moonlight), I'll be so happy I'll drop tears on the freaking eyepiece :D
So you lived in Melbourne i take it Kev, if so....yes the clouds are definately what made you move to sunny Broken Hill! However, you "Broken Hillians" have about 5 times melbourne's monthly rainfall right now  i f I lived in Broken hill, I'd prolly be actually happy to see rain, considering that Broken Hill hardly see any rain at all................but in Melbourne it's a diffferent story!
Melbourne is very cloudy!

Mondays report from the hill 20 mm of rain o/nite with no sign of the clouds breaking yet ...and when the sun eventually comes out here its going to get so green since the appearence out here resembles that of a martian landscape...so whats happened onite in Melb and the east coast its always interesting to hear about the weather......cheers Kev.
