AOS Samson Equatorial Mount

My original intent was to set this up permanently, but lack of space & time plus other projects 'moving forward' leave me with a need to dispose of this 'vintage' eq mount.

It's an AOS Samson mount circa mid 80's. It is in very good condition. Tangent arm dec control, 150mm worm gear with slow motion control. There is a working AC/DC motor drive included, but the transfer gearbox has been misplaced and it will take some cleverness to adapt it, or an original gearbox, which is probably made out of unobtainium. Better to adapt a new system, I think. 2 x 4.5kg and 1 x 3kg counterweights. Mounted on a pillar with casters (for ease of portability hehe). Has the original AOS 'tube ring' that will support a tube diameter of ~260mm

I am willing to drive 2 hours in any direction from my location (Wagga) for delivery, otherwise pick up or delivery arranged by buyer.

I have a very similar mount, possibly built a bit later, which is also waiting (very patiently) for a permanent home. Some years ago some teeth in the gearbox broke. The box is metal but the gears are plastic. After some net searching I found a source of the gearbox from an Australian company. I never did buy the replacement and I've forgotten the details. If it is of any use I can pull out the mount and get the details (make, model number) from off the gearbox. I'm at work now but I can do it tonight.
