Hi
Got one ive been after for a while now,
PNG346.9+12. otherwise known as K 1- 3, a little way south of Antares.

This is a full resoloution crop from center of original image.
1750 and 1800 sec ISO 400 shots (1 hour total) with the UHCS filter and 10 inch F5.6 scope, EOS 300D
Star Atlas pro gives its mag. (in H Beta) as 15.75.
Weather fair, but very moist.
I just like to see what these faint obscure objects look like in colour :)

I use a "Sampson" G.E M. type mount made by Astro Optical Supplies, Sydney (sadly no longer made), synchronous notor RA drive hand operated Dec.

I would love a 20 Da however I hear that modified cameras deliver even better H alpha results. Id never want to do it myself but these might be the go if I ever come into some money :)

yes there's been quite a bit of debate over on CN, and the Hutech seems to win by a short head

the way I see it, by the time I have enough money -and am allowed-to buy another camera for astrophotography, the Canon 90000 D would probably be out in the market :)
