Hi everyone,
Well after quiet a few goes at trying to get a image of this comet and getting clouded out each time, I finally managed to to get a run of 12 images the other night before the cloud rolled in...
Quiet easy to spot the comet with the finder scope and like Scott mentions, it sure is scooting along.
Done 200 second subs which showed a little trailing but not enough to be obvious.
Image is 12 x 200 sec at iso 800 with my 6" newt and 300D
DF subtracted and stacked on comet in PS..
Was rather tricky to process and took a good 2 hour before I was happy with it.
Ion trail is barely visible at the 2 o`clock position?
All comments most welcome!:)
Thanks for looking
