heres some more data from lastnight, a half decent image ruined by field rotation.
its pretty ugly looking but it took too much time to capture just to be deleted.
this was taken before my triffid subs.
bit of a shame, it looks like it might have turned out alright otherwise.
no high res for this one for obvious reasons.
7x15 min subs MPCC + UHC-S
Yes, but you can practice the processing skills.
Looks like it was going to kick ass, but instead you must have kicked yours !..
I would if i was there !.

That's a shame Tj. What do you think brought it about? Polar alignment or selecting a guidestar too far from the center of your image?

i just remembered i re-balanced the scope before shooting the M20 subs, but it still looks like field rotation due to poor polar alignment.
the guidescope and imaging scope are aligned pretty close so i don't think that can be it.
i never changed my polar alignment between this shot and the triffid shot though.. no trace of any trailing in that image, i actually thought the tracking was really good for triffid.

You can say that again.... the nebulousity looks intensely detailed...
As has been said... Eta is still there, give it another go at same settings + good polar align... Results will be stunning.
Good practice anyway, and great result considering...
