Hi all
Was wondering where is the best place to purchase clothing for outdoor observing in Sydney? With Winter approaching (even now in Autumn nights have been freezing) I would like to be well prepared for the cold, as I'm finding two jumpers, two pants etc.. isn't enough.
Help is greatly appreciated thanks :)

Have you tried freezer suits? With matching boots?
They are absolutely awesome, and the perfect thing for observing during the winter months. They're becoming a more common accessory and more and more people at SPSP (for example) are walking around in them.
Get them off Geoff (GTB_an_Owl) at http://www.gtbastrowise.com.au/
I use mine at home every night while imaging Jupiter at 4am.

I am thinking of getting a freezer suit myself.
Where can you get one with a IIS logo on it?  ;)

We've been talking about getting some reflective tape to sew on them :)

The freezer suit is great and certainly warm enough, but I need to source some thermal leggins or something as I find that as I move around, cold air leaks in at some places and can be a little uncomfortable on bare skin :scared:

I heard ALDI have thermal longjohns etc on sale this week.
Also if you dont mind second hand gear Salvos and Vinnies usually have a lot of skigear for next to nix

"Sew"? C'mon - self-adhesive for those of us without the necessary skills?
