I used the 6 inch SN to get Eta Carina Neb, but this time with the Hutech LPS filter
6x10 mins ISO400
Also tried it on the Antennae galaxy NGC 4038. I managed to get the tails, Im happy with that as the sky was very light polluted, transparency was poor.
7x10 mins ISO400. Of course it doesnt match the detail of Strongman Mikes shot of it, but its the first time Ive got the tails in the 6 inch, along with a scattering of other galaxies.
Both with Baader MPCC coma corrector, Hutech LPS filter, Modded 350D, Meade 6 inch f3.6 "cometracker" SN.

Nice images Scott.
The NGC4038 gives a good perspective with associated galaxies.
I noted a blue "object" upper right. Is it real or internal reflection?
Well done.:)

Yep have to agree Scott that is a beauty, now i can see why every one loves Eta, it is a beautiful object and you have done it justice.

Thanks all
Yes, Jeff thats a reflection from the uncoated corrector plate. Thats the disadvantage of the scope, it isnt suitable for imaging objects with very bright stars, such as M42 and the Pliades
