So much for getting out and imaging venus tonight. Last night I had Pizza from our local bar and as a rule have good pizza. Well someone, must not have washed their hands because I have had Mild - average food poisoning all day. I usually have a very strong constitution in fact I am frequently known for my iron gut. When other people feel a bit poorly after a meal I am usually happy as larry. I will be ringing my Pizza bar owner and explaining that my entire day was ruined because of the bad food. I will see which way they go with it as to whether I report them to dept of Health. I understand that soemtimes people can make mistakes and since this is their very first time this has happened, they deserve the benefit of the doubt. However, if they come across with a surly attitude, things will not go too well for them while they are having every orifice probed by the local health inspector. So if I was them I would be having a feeling right now that we ought to treat their customers very well in the next couple of weeks. ;)

Go for it Paul,

If it affected your Iron Gut imagine what it could've done to a little kid!

Even if it just scares them into using better hygeine it will be worth it (and a free pizza!)

I would expect they would courteously deny they are responsible due to well trained food handlers and thorough hygeine procedures etc etc.
Still its well worth reporting to them just so they are aware of the need to improve their handling before they kill off their customers.

Sew them Paul......Take them to court for $1,000,000.00

Think of all the gear you can buy then....lol

Yeah what Geoff said.....they will deny it.

LOLOL
The only place near us that sells fast food is a servo, the locals call it the "Chew and Spew"
Seriously though, it is not a good experience food poisoning. I had Bali Belly for 3 days. Phew, never again.

No need to sue, and yes I could buy a lot with that sort of money, but that would not be just. I think making them eat the left over Pizza would be more than enough Justice. I would stand guard over them to ensure that they did not try to vomit it up before contracting the aweful reality. Hehehe. Now that is justice.

Even today more than 48 hours since eating the Pizza come poison I have mild cramps and go to the toilet on a regular basis. First time I have had food poisoning and hope it is the last.

Paul, there are many things that can cause the symptoms of food poisoning; bad food, bad water, a virus or perhaps alcohol, even bacteria from a door handle or surface contaminated by others. Without getting a sample of the pizza tested immediately when you became ill it's impossible to know whether is was the food or a bug.

Phil while you could be right and there could have been another agent at work, I tend toward Occams Razor as being correct. That being the simplest explaination is usually correct. In this case I bought the Pizza it was the only thing I ate and 8 hours later I was suffering very sharp stomach pains and a host of toiletry complaints.

Still you could be right.

Sorry you are crook mate. Tried to ring today. NRR. Relating to food poisoning, I have seen numerous times people handling money and food at the same time, granted they were wearing plastic gloves, but the bugs, faeces etc are on money, ATM machine buttons, escalator handrails, in fact everywhere. The message always wash your mits, and people handling food should do the same, even more strictly. I remember an article on TV some months back where samples were taken from the buttons of random ATM machines and the amount of crud found was incredible. Yeah and faecal contamination as well. Honestly a lot of people are ****** filthy pigs.
This subject is one of my pet hates.

I agree with all of the above, food poisoning is a hard thing to trace,
Thats one of the reasons I boil all my equipment before I make a batch of sausages, I don't want to get sick, but I usually give some away to friends, I don't want them to get sick either.
Most outbreaks of food poisoning are due to temperature, or cross contamination. My Wife worked in the food industry for years, so she has drilled this stuff into me.
But if a pizza is all you ate that day, then it is a good possibility that is where it came from.
If it is a big franchise operation who made the food, it is worth complaining to them first, you could end up with free stuff for a while. After all, it is winter and employees get sick. If they don't answer you, then go to the Health dept.
