Havin alot of probs getting the drift alignment right, but I got this along the way (longer exposure this time) :)

Getting there, Peter! Drift alignment is everything!

How long is the exposure?
Have you done any processing?

This one is about a minute, (I varied the lengths quite a bit) slight sharpening, colour balance (increased the reds in the shadows) and a re-size down to 3000x2000. The re-size seemed to improve the over-all image, took away a few hard edges. All in all I'm much happier with this shoot.

I hope you don't mind but I ran your image through PS. A quick curves and levels adjustment to bring out more detail.

I put your image through Photoshop CS3 and did a curves adjustment along with a levels adjustment.

I found the the image a bit too red so I did a colour balance as well.

Do you have Photoshop or any kind of processing software?

Hi Matty,

Thanks for the tips.... I had a play with the curves and ended up with something very close to what you did. It's amazing how much colour is captured ... :). I've always been a bit conservative with enhancement of photos but astro pics seem to warrant that little bit more.
