Hi all,
Another fair eve here on May 8th allowed to grab a spotless Saturn getting closer and closer to the Sun.

Another nice one Paolo, considering how far Saturn is past opposition now. :cool2:

Really nice, Paolo. I love the colours and it has your trademark processing and style.
I can't capture Saturn now if I tried - it's already behind the trees when it gets dark.
I guess the good thing with Saturn is that it doesn't really shrink in angular size, like Mars does after opposition.

Wow!, now that's sharp, you can see (or my brain imagines) the globes shadow projecting well beyond the rings... great globe banding detail too.
Thanks for sharing this:thumbsup:

Hi guys,
Thank you all for your comments - I appreciated any!
You're right when you say Saturn is far enough to avoid an excessive size shrinking.
My open desing telescope is always 100% ready as soon as I remove the 2 caps! This is the key when planets are getting closer to the Sun in their eastern elongations!
