Meade 5000 80mm Triplet APO vs Doublet EDs?

Hi All, I'm wondering what the effective difference is between a low end triplet APO like the Meade 5000 80mm and the more common doublet ED 80mm by Skywatcher etc.

The Meade is faster, but what's the view on relative colour correction and field curvature?
