Hi guys,

well the sun finally appeared in Melbourne after one week of cloudy weather and fog. Unfortunately once the centre of the high moves to the East and a Northerly kicks in the seeing gets worse.

At best 6 out of 10 I reckon this morning - but learning the tricks of using the Skynix. At 49fps can get enough frames for a reasonable stack.

Attached is the "boring" side of Jove, and cannot wait until the seeing improves (Unfortunately will not be able to image for the next 2 weeks due to work commitments!)

Enjoy.

Very nice image John, glad you are getting the Skynyx to perform well.

I don't think Jupiter has a boring side at the moment, there's stuff going on everywhere. This is a really nice image John, well done.

cheers, Bird

Very nice John :)

That's the only side of Jupiter I've been able to image so far. Heaps of detail there. Your image is so crisp and the processing is so natural.

Hi John, you couldn't call this the boring side of Jove, you have some amzingly fine detail captured here but at the same time super smooooooth:thumbsup:

I dont think the jovians think it would be boaring with all those swirling gases. A very nice image with smooth rich colors.

Thanks for all the comments guys.

Agree, there is nothing about Jove that can ever be boring! Precisely the reason why I recently spent an arm and a leg to go RGB imaging! And there is still months to go to opposition!
