hi folks,
in two nights I imaged M3, which is such a beautiful cluster!
tight though and therfor tough to process, it is cute to see the center split in the TMB scope.
one night granted very nice conditions; the second one, when I did the colors was very windy and seeing was bad.

Since I wanted to have a nice FOV I decided to image with the 5" f/9 TMB SApo, which was a good idea, as seeing was so bad the second night, I could not have guided for 2050mm FL.

I wanted to do the colors in 1x1,...but I should have decided differently...
please find all data and images on my website:

thanks for taking a look.
your comments are appreciated.
best regards,
Dietmar

Thanks Dietz, that's a lovely tight globular cluster - yet resolved very well and the star colours are beautiful.

Nice shot Dietz, well resolved. Quite a few other fuzzies there.... if you look about halfway up your piccie, in the outer regions of the glob, you'll notice a small spiral to the right and just below a red giant member of the glob.

Looking good:)

Love the star colours, the orange ones always look good but you have managed to capture that beautiful shade of blue as well.

Very pleasing to the eye.

Very well done.

Excellent image, the top left big star is a nice inclusion. Guiding (?) is tight and colour is very nice.

...thanks Mike, renormalized, Paul, Matt and Fred.

Great work Dietz. I concur with Fred - the composition to include the bright star top left adds an extra dimension on this image. I would have preferred to see a little more space around it, but that's simply a personal preference. 1x1 RGB may have given you a little more resolution, but not much considering the luminance layering. A lovely well resolved cluster. Well done.

Wonderful colours Dietz and the detail and resolution looks fantastic.

A top image, well done.

Cheers

thanks Jase and Ric.

I intended to create an additional pseudo-lum layer with the color data (channel mixer) but seeing destroyed all interesting data.
since the lum layer is strong enough in terms of resolution adn depth, it is NP.

So crisp and sharp Dietz. So many faint fuzzies as an extra bonus.
