Thanks Greg
The one I linked to brings up the same old question ..How big is a planet?
The second one, if its the size their saying , should be classed as a planet if its larger than Pluto.
10 is a better number.

I saw a link on Mike Brown's site to the larger one but skipped it, now I cant find it.

The discoveries still leave hope for more.

As a note, The Spanish team credited with the discovery of 2003 EL61 were using what looks like a 14" Celestron (I cant read Spanish), well within amateur scope parameters.

Wow, UB313 is twice Pluto's average distance away, only 1/4 the amount of light that Pluto gets would fall on it. Er, I think that's how it works. It would be dark there!

EL61 even has a moon! Amazing stuff.

Xena is its nickname at the moment.. the discoverers have submitted the name they have chosen to the International Astronomical Union but they are keeping their choice secret.

I feel sorry for the Astrologers, surely this must stuff up their charts.. that explains why i have been moody lately, Xena in Taurus rising ;)

Nah those planets are too far away to affect the astrology charts. Not that the other planets arn't either. ;)
