partial milky way photo i took tonight, piggybacked on my scope..
canon 300D, 18mm, F5.6, 64seconds and ISO 1600.
my best photo of the night.
Gave up on trying to put my camera on the scope, couldnt get in focus with the camera... ended up going to piggyback... Very happy with this shot.
Also saw dumbell nebula for the first time tonight through a 16"dob and a 14" Lx200. Very nice nebula to look at. Can't really describe it though.

Nice pic. Rowena. Didn't see that one last,(Friday), night. Seeing wasn't real good, too much intermittent cloud/moisture.
Seeing tonight,(Sat), was a bit on/off as well eh? Neil,Hans,Garry,Joe & I stayed till around 1.30 am, just cos Neil wanted his 1st view of Mars. Wasn't steady enough for pic., as it was still only about 25/30 degs high when the wind picked up. Ended up a reasonable night tho!
Waiting for your pics. from tonight. :D L.

Hi Rowena
What a lovely star-scape, with Scorpius and Sagittarius with the star clouds.
Great image!
