View Full Version here: : Omega Cen - deep field
Hi Folks,
Recently I finally assembled my new equipment consisting of Takahashi EM200 + FSQ106 + SBIG ST-2000 and would like to share with you the results of first light of the telescope :) Choice of the object was quite easy - Omega Cen. This is an excellent target to test both optics and the mount.
The total exposure time was ~120 min, consisting of subs of 10 min each. The weather was quite good. Enjoy !

I love this Antu, well done! Going so deep adds a very interesting dimension to your typical globular shot. Must try this myself one day soon.
Cheers, Marcus

Yep, have to agree with the masses, that is a beautiful image indeed, there sure is some stars in that one.

What a wonderful sight! Thank you Antu for sharing.
Thanks for your comments, guys ! This particular image was obtained during a recent starparty at the Antilhue observatory (http://www.verschatse.cl). I attached few images of that place.
Hi,
I hope you had a good sleeping bag. Still with skies like that you probably wouldn't have used it :)

It is amazing what longer exposures can do to an image.
Very well done.

Great Omega Cen image - so many stars.
Almost missed this one, I'm glad I didn't.

Those obs pictures look stunning as well, I'm jealous of that sky.
