M20 not another one!

Hi Guys

My deepest yet, 90 minutes, but with manual focus as my robofocus wasnt working properly.

Triffid nebula

12 by 300 sec subs, 3 by 600 sec subs, darks plus flats, UV/IR block
TV85, TV 0.8 reducer on EQ6, self guided with SBIG 2000 XCM
Levels and Curves PS2, Sum combine in Maxim
Reduced to 1200 pixels, 30 % compression

I hadnt taken M20 before, well about a year ago when I was starting out with with my 300D and the results were quite different, see attached photo.

I want to get it again, with better focus and mix in some Ha as it is a nice target and I like the blue :)

Mind you the current image was a year and about 5,000 dollars later, what a slippery slide :)

youve come a long way zuts..... spent a lot too:lol:

there looks like a gradient accross the image.... im fortunate not to have to much city light pollution, but maybee get hold of something to even it out.

Also a few motes that slipped past the flat field are evident, the program i use doesnt do particularly well with these..... but you can very selctively use the Dodge/Burn tool in photoshop to rectify these, just softly with a low pressure brush .

apart from those minor details a big improvement, its nice to look back and realize the achievements that have been made.
