View Full Version here: : Corona Australis, NGC6727
Hi Guys
I always wanted to get this one so had a go last night. I found the processing very difficult and just managed to pick up the dark nebula. There was no moon but heavy LP. Maybe I will try again from a dark sky site.
6 by 600 sec subs, darks plus flats, UV/IR block
TV85, TV 0.8 reducer on EQ6, self guided with SBIG 2000 XCM
Levels and Curves PS2, Sum combine in Maxim, Neat Image
Reduced to 1200 pixels, 30 % compression.
Thanks for looking, any comments appreciated.

I like it Paul, a very tricky area. I did a very much wider view of this area on Saturday night too - only 400s subs though. Haven't processed it yet.
Definitely improving with that camera!

you have done very well from the burbs for this one Paul.
I would hate to try it.
Looks like it`s time to clean the dust bunnies away :)
cheers Gary
Thanks Mike. I will look forward to seeing your version in wide field.
Thanks Houghy.
I really like this area, nearly as much as the HH if done correctly. I may be off do dark skies tomorrow and will give it another go.
Hi Leon.
You should give it a go with the TAK and the 5D. It's nice and high this time of the year and under Ballarat skies it should come up a treat.
Yes, very tricky. But the mix of browns and blacks together with the blues and the glob make it a very attractive area. You should give it another go :)
Thanks Gary.
Dust bunny time will have to wait until I rebake the dessicant plug. Once opened up it takes 3 days for the moisture to get soaked up and it ices up something horrible. It's fine after 3 days though :)

The neb looks nice and smooth, but the 30%compression/reduction pixelate the stars, doesnt do it justice. Start youself a web site (free with Googlepages) and post the res you deserve ;-).
