Hi all

I've had another crack at this one with the DSI II. I am still very much trying to get the hang of imaging and how the DSI works. I think I have tracking working in the drizzle function now so this should be helping.

I am experimenting with most of the settings still without much idea but pennies are starting to drop. :)

This one was 75 images of 5.7 sec exposures. For those of you who know the Envisage settings I had minimum quality set to 30%. My processing knowledge is even less than my imaging knowledge but I have tweaked the levels using PS.

Thanks for looking!

Not bad, Darren...is this first light for your DSI II??. I like the fact you didn't overcook the central regions of the cluster, but there's still some more details there to bring out. Give the exposures a little bit more time, but not too much.

Good work.

Thanks for the feedback.

I have had it out for a few test runs but this is my best result to date. Plenty to learn! ;)

Nice work Darren, the stars look quite sharp and tight for a DSI camera - which often results in images with blobby stars.

Nice job.

A good image Darren, well resolved.

I think that you could even push your subs to 8 seconds but given the brightness of OC the core might start to cook.

With the minimum quality settings it's worth experimenting with this. I usually set my level at 10% and then restack later manually rejecting any images that are not up to scratch.

Cheers
